earlier this week i bumped into a couple of jws who i recognised from the cult cart.
a few months ago i had a long conversation with him one of them and found him to be quite friendly.
he is new to the area in the years since i left.. this time he was very defensive and said he wasn't allowed to talk to me.
Child abuse, along with any other human transgressions happen in any one group of people. Look/ask/investigate around. Sounds callous, I know, but it is the truth. No organization can control that.
They just need to change the authorities notification policy. The two witness policy is no longer, so there is some improvement in the case of accusations of physical/sexual abuse.
Also parents need to take better care of their young. Yes, parents.

i just found this website and im so glad because for the first time in a long time i dont feel alone...i am a born in and in the last two years have been struggling because i thought that i was the problem and i was the reason for not feeling any love from and for the other pubs .i want to leave the org but have no idea how to tell my mother(who is a faithful jw).

If you are in fact a teenager, get occupied with your education and getting set up financially in the world prior to making any quick decisions on leaving the Org. Get as much education as you can.

it's getting to the point where cnn should start announcing "breaking news" if there *hasn't* been a mass shooting !.
it's crazy.. i was watching the 70's documentary they are running and that's the point when media hype about mass serial killers seemed to begin the danger-gun-solution hype cycle.
sure, people had guns before then but nowhere near like it is now.. when will it end?
In this gun-crazy society, it is not surprising at all. Many more to come at a gathering near you.
If guns would not be as easy to obtain, a deranged person would make much less damage, if any; don't believe it? Check out the statistics in England, Australia or other societies where owning a gun is not as easy.
But, hey, as the gun nuts say: "Guns don't kill people. People kill people!"

i am currently having to spend a little time waiting for an appointment in the vicinity of a central london station.
whilst waiting i am catching up on some work in a cafe.
i can see a couple of trolleys and have been watching them for around an hour now.. not one person has stopped to take literature.
The elders tried to sign me up for this 'preaching cart' thing and I politely told them "no, thanks. I prefer knocking on doors or writing letters." To this day they look at me in a suspect sort of way. I do not care. I ain't wasting my time, looking weird, in some public corner. No way!

The elderly in the Org, especially the ones that got old inside the org, are pissed and quite depressed because this man-made entity sold them a bill of goods their entire lives and nothing has happened yet!
Oh yes, something indeed has happened lately: Said Org robbed them of their KH funds and still have the odds its to ask for more donations.
I am not that old and I am LIVID about the whole thing! Part of the growing bunch that is now realizing the tremendous waste of time this has all been.

i was discussing with a relative the cash grab made by the org.
when i mentioned it that the same repayments are still required indefinitly, i got a parroted response from the may broadcast; that is you only have to pay what you can afford.
obvoiusly the boe letter makes it very exact what amount should be paid.. relative seems super in, elder.
God needs money!!!
And once in their hands, they ain't giving it back!!!

as i have written previously, i crashed a discussion between a young j-dub and his baptist workmate who were having.
a religious debate outside starbucks.
this was months ago.
In my small Spanish cong, all graduates (about 6) are either attending a community college or a nearby university in the city. Some (3 or so) not very studious are attending a trade school in town.
I am so happy about that! The WTBTS is losing in this regard. Days of not educating one's kids are fading away. The world is too rough to just be a stupid ass waiting for a new world order that will not come in our lifetime.
